Types of Wood Finishes- Open Coat Finish

• Open pore type- feel the wood texture after coatings. Stained finish is possible.
• If the desired effect is to have a very natural look , then specify open pores. If you want only some of the pores to show,specify semi filled pores.

Limitation – 

• In open pore finish ,dust may be collected.

Very thin coat of sealer and only one thin coat of top coat can be applied to achieve open pore finish.
